Last year about this time, I went deep down two YouTube rabbit holes:
Vanlife (in a couple of years I want to travel the country and live out of a converted van)
and…
Illustration (a new hobby of mine)
Now, I know I’m late to the party on this, but what I realized was how great YouTube is for learning new things.
And how great of a tool it is for teaching and getting the word out about what I offer.
Because there are a couple of YouTubers I follow religiously…
And I decided last Spring that I was going to start a YouTube channel in 2022 (2021 was all about creating new courses and improving my existing ones).
My YouTube videos will focus not only on teaching you how to attract clients and build your dream business, but also the behind the scenes of how I built mine (I get asked about this a lot) — how to’s, screenshares, etc.
Full transparency here... as an introvert, it scares the bejeebies out of me just thinking about having my face on video.
But here’s the thing...
My business isn’t really about me. It’s about you. It’s about helping you get out there and coach the people you’re meant to coach.
And YouTube will allow me to do that in a bigger way.
If you’ve been a part of this community for awhile, you know that I’m a big believer in choosing a marketing approach that fits our personalities, strengths, and genius zone when we’re first starting out.
Something that we can stick to long term.
And not trying to do ALL THE THINGs.
For the past several years, Facebook and Instagram Ads have been my only marketing approach.
And I’m so glad I did it that way because...
I built a six figure business with them.
Now, while I will continue to run FB and Instagram Ads in 2022, it’s time for me to add on to what’s already been working.
And I can do this because I’ve built enough systems into my business that adding on to my marketing approach won’t overwhelm me.
I’m telling you this today for 2 reasons...
- Sharing this publicly holds me accountable. 😉
