The Sunday before I started the 30-Day challenge, I talked about the importance of adding cushion to your marketing efforts.
The idea being that before publishing for the first time, you have about a month's worth of content ready so you're not stressing about getting stuff out there.
And then the following day, I started the 30-Day Challenge.
Which is pretty much the opposite of giving yourself cushion.
Way to practice what I preach, right?
And yet, somehow the two connected in my brain.
One of the gals who reached out to me saying she wanted to join me in the 30 day challenge got me thinking about how she could do both.
I shared it with her and now I'd like to share it with you.
Because I think combining the two could be pretty amazing.
Here's how it could work:
You still do the 30-day writing challenge just like I did, but with one slight tweak.
Instead of publishing every day, you schedule every day.
And here's where the cushion comes in...
That first blog article you write gets scheduled for day 31, so the day AFTER the challenge ends.
The second blog article gets scheduled a week after the first one.
And so on.
By the end of the challenge, you have 30 weeks of blog posts scheduled.
That's over a half a year.
Nice, right?
That is some MAJOR cushion.
Now, in order for this to work like Shane intended (getting you to relax about your content), once you schedule your content you CANNOT tweak it. No going back in and fixing stuff.
You've got to let it go.
Otherwise, you're not learning to relax around the ups and downs of content writing.
To sum it up, at the end of your 30 days...
What do you think?
Up for a cushy challenge?
With love & joy,
P.S. Is there someone in your life who could benefit from reading this post? Why not share this with them?
