why some $2K+ courses are complete junk

In my last email I talked about the first reason coaches (even the ones who'd spent over $50k on programs and masterminds) are struggling to build their businesses.

(read it here if you missed it)

Here's a quick recap:

They don't have a step-by-step system to follow. While the ones I worked with might have had 40+ courses to choose from, they didn't have any idea which ones to start with.

Overwhelm ensues.

In this email, I'd like to share the second reason so many coaches struggle.

In my experience, about 75% of so-called "business courses" courses are taken from live events and teleseminars (back in the days before Zoom). Some are edited, most are not.

So coaches have to sit there and listen to all the umms, ahhs, ya knows, awkward silences, and random tangents that don't have anything to do with what they actually need to learn.

They waste precious time just to get a couple nuggets of valuable info.

Not a great return on your time investment — not to mention the eyebrow-raising investment just to attain these dusty old recordings.

(There's a human quirk where we think that expensive = high quality. Some people take advantage of this and still make money despite a high refund rate)

Here's my first experience with this (and unfortunately, not my last):

In early 2014 I bought a $2000 online course for how to build an "expert" business. One that teaches coaches, consultants, authors, and speakers how to build their businesses. It also included a free ticket to their upcoming live event.

I got a huge box delivered with a ton of videos and huge binders for the course.

I dove in right away.

I watched video after video after video of live event clips mixed in with Powerpoint slides.

It was like watching the course creators version of Tetris.

I was hoping for some step-by-step help.

What I got was what felt like the world's largest jigsaw puzzle.

And it was all high level stuff.

Not the nitty gritty help I needed.

So I decided to give the live event a shot, hoping it would be better.

Unfortunately, it wasn't.

On a positive note, I did learn what didn't make it into that big binder full of stuff.

Hours and hours and hours of motivational "you can do it" speeches. Lol.

"Yes, I know I can! That's why I'm here. Now tell me how!"

That's why years later when I started creating what would become The Coaches Accelerator, I knew what it had to be.

It not only had to be a structured, step-by-step process that people could easily follow. But it also had to be streamlined and focused. No time-wasting. No endless motivational fluff (like cheesecake, moderation is key)

After my experiences with jigsaw courses, I refused to add yet another to the pile.

And that's why I created The Coaches Accelerator.

And here's the good news:

The Coaches Accelerator "2.0" is going live in two days.

And I've created a brand new masterclass to go along with it...
